Are locking tuner pegs any good?

yeah. I think those planet waves are also auto trim ( it will cut the wire for you). Kinda pontless on a double locking FR equipped guitar. But for non locking trems and people who abuse hardtails it works good..

Heh, I don't even use the upper bolts on my FR's.

I might try a set out on my RG's. The Schecter tuning pegs are pimp city straight out of the box - the things just don't move at all. Good stuff.

Auto trim is a really cool idea.

Well, I prefer a bit of string up there. I'm a firm beliver in the more mass you can get on the headstock the better the guitars mojo will be. I keep the ball ends and wrap a fair amount of turns on the tuners. I also have the little allen key holders with two attached on the back of most of my headstocks also...

Hmm, that's a really good point.

On another note, any idea where you can buy those allen holders? I always lose mine and had a Jackson back in the day with those on it, handiest idea ever.

As Josher can attest, I am direly in need of new cables, so I'll be hitting Guitar Center tomorrow.

Must control GAS.... Must get cables, pegs and nothing else. Must control GAS...
