Anyone know Drum Exercises?

    Been playing drums more and more recently and starting to really enjoy it

    Just curious of any tips or exercises people know

    particularly stuff to seperate my arms from my legs so I have more freedom between them would be awesome

    Eight on a hand, play eight notes on right, eight notes on left, 16 on right, repeat on starting with left hand.

    Also played paradiddles for countless hours, double stroke rolls, single stroke rolls. On top of that would put random accent on those to give better control. Important bit of all of these is playing evenly and consistently and to a metronome.

    To separate arms from legs try playing eight note double strokes on your hands than play them on your feet offset an eight from your hands.

    Would look like this:
    Hands: RRLLRRLL
    Feet: RLLRRLLR

    Would also do the same thing with paradiddles.

    Also can do single stroke rolls split across all limbs. snare kick snare kick using different permutations of hands and feet.

    There are a lot of exercises you can do just by taking rudiments and mixing and matching them.
