hmmm could be cool if they use a decent scale length like 25.5" or longer.

Matt Heafy has been playing one recently, not sure if it is a new signature model but it would make sense considering they are also releasing a 7 string model.

That's actually the new Matt Heafy sig it's been out for a while now but only in black so I guess Epiphone decided to spruce it up with a colour change btw the other guitars are the Bjorn Gelotte(In Flames) sig and what looks to be a Tommy Thayer(Kiss) Explorer.

Yup on all accounts it seems. I saw him playing an all-white Epi on tour. Plus, Tommy has been using an Explorer on stage the passed few years.

    Looks like a painted fretboard?

Either that or it's colored phenolic resin.

Probably the same thing as the Brendan Small Flying V.

I like it better than the black one. Hope the price stays the same. I've tried the black 7-string and didn't like how the axcess heel makes the neck thickness taper noticeably more than with a standard heel.

Looks absolutely fantastic IMO. If I were into Les Pauls, the only reason I wouldn't get it is because I'd be getting that Bjorn Gelotte sig. LPs feel every kind of wrong for me though (except the ESP Eclipse. That one is just sex)

I might buy one if the fretboard wasn't colored. I loved the black one, and the white one looks really nice... But I hate the fretboard.

Better looking than the brendon small V and explorer though. The grey burst looks gross on those.

I love LP7s...but that thing looks hideous with a white fretboard.

I kinda dig it. I don't mind synthetic materials in guitars as long as they are durable, etc.

I don't mind synthetic materials... Using brendon small again, the epiphone thunderhorse had a synthetic board and it looked and functioned fine.

I just hate colored fretboards... Look no further than kiesel for evidence of how tacky that looks. Add gloss and a solid color, it's just worse in my opinion. Nothing against anyone who likes it (or even the kiesels.) Just not my bag.

I like the new Heafy 7, but would like to see a better pic of the front of it, so I can see if the fretboard is indeed painted, or just a very light wood-colored synthetic fretboard. Would have been better if the fretboard was a bit darker, but otherwise, I think it's a step up from the previous sig.

What is that bridge he's got in those pics? Sure as hell isn't a TOM, and it also isn't on either of the "Heafy" LP's in the linked pic in the first post....

Looks like an Evertune but in TOM format? New to me.
