So I just found out that Airis is doing a limited Rick And Morty art run of Savage Drives over on their Facebook. I love the show, and I've heard some good things about the pedal. In addition to this, the more guys that get on the list the cheaper the pedal becomes.

"The price is $169USD and the deposit required is $75.

    BUT!

If the amount of preorders reaches 10, it will be only $159.

20 preorders and the price will be $149

50 preorders and the price is only $129USD."

I'm just posting this here as a heads up, not endorsed by them at all or anything. Any of you guys have first hand experience with the savage drive?

Idea sounds cool, and I hope they get enough preorders to at least get the 149 price, but I'm pretty set for boosts/distortions, etc. at the moment as well. In fact, I have way too many.

    Yeah you do!
Now if they want to clone the HM2 and make it pickle rick with his dead rat suit I'd be all over it because I'm back down to just 2 clones of that particular pedal :mrburns:

The MIJ you sent me is pretty cool. Got to play it two more times since my review. I'm surprised how versatile it is for a "shitty" distortion pedal. I use the term shitty in quotes because some people find it to be an awful noise maker. I however think it sounds great.

I have noticed though that pedals like the Left Hand Wrath are way more versatile, but also easier to get into that chainsaw tone. Depending on how you look at it though, that's either better or worse whether or not you like the more subtle settings as well on the HM-2.

Totally. I'm all about the subtle settings and getting a touch of chainsaw with a more modern character overall.

I'd love it if they put Pickle Rick on it... I just put my 75 bucks down for it, hoping they get to the 149 price as well. I've been hearing reports that some people favor it over the Precision Drive, and from what I've heard it sounds great. Not thinking so much about having it in front of my Stealth as much as using it as a boost when I record through my interface and TSE X50.

    Stoked.

If you asked me which pedal company would steal a popular show's artwork in an effort to sell more pedals, my first guess would have been Airis Effects.

I came into this thread to ask if they had actually licensed out the image/characters for the run of pedals, but this gets the point across better

Look, that show is going to have to really crack down on bogus, bootleg merchandising. Not only they losing lots of cash as a result, but they are also risking looking bad if something happens that causes a lot of controversy.

This is why Simpsons merch states it's real and officially licensed or whatever. They had a shit ton of fake, bootleg merch in the early 90s that they had to crack down on.

If I were the show I would grant them the rights to the artwork, but only for Jerry. Airis Effects truly is the Jerry of effects pedal companies.
