Killer tone man. I would give the mixing a shot but I don't think my EZDrummer 2 is enough to make it sound good, haha.

https://clyp.it/ftckqapp <--- reamped fiddlesticks with no mixing just some limiting and whatever

I haven't started mixing this yet... figuring out the new SD3.0 first time using it. Why do the samples sound like ass? Using the NY Avatar kit here. Still deciding on sounds and might reamp the guitars again.

Hmmm, I actually tried to use that on this track, but when I load it into the Kontakt Player it says **DEMO** and will time out after 15 min. Any thoughts?

Did you restart the Kontakt plugin with your DAW? I used to use a demo kontakt bass and I would just restart it every 15 minutes and remember the settings I had and just bounce it like that. It’s a pain but should work.

    Damn, sounds good!

Only thing I think is that the floor tom is super loud. I'm almost imagining a band standing around a gigantic drum in the room that gets hit every once in a while lol.

Bummer. Buying Kontakt is on my list of things here in the future though so I'll give it a whirl - I have your library downloaded. There are a bunch of inexpensive libraries for ~$20 that I'd love to take advantage of.

For my mix, I tried a multi-band for parallel compression, leaving out any compression on the cymbals, and I don't really think I like the way the it sounds. Something I'm trying now is to do very little compression on my kick/snare/tom/cymbal bus, and apply most of my compression on the drum bus, with a crap ton of parallel compression with an 1176. So far it's really made the drums punchier, without feeling like compressors are pulling each shell in a different direction.
