Would you split the NB set? I'm only interested in the bridge pickup.
Just asking, please don't bite my head off
Nope, don't want to split up. As hard a sell as the whole set is, the neck one by itself would be even worse.
PM'd good sir.
Definitely interested in the Nailbombs, let me just think on this real fast.
JJ, how will the Nailbombs sound in a basswood guitar, i.e. RG7620? Looking to get something less "scoopy" than the stock pickups. Are they crazy high output? Is this considered a matched set? Ceramic nailbombs?
I'm familiar with some BKP's but not the Nailbombs.
Well, this is from the BKP site -
Since basswood is a fairly neutral wood, I would assume it would be pretty much that. It sounds fairly tight and crunchy in mahogany (in the CT).
These already have the tabs snipped to fit in an Ibby, and the holes are reamed out for direct mounting so they should be good to go. The one thing you may want to make sure of is to shim your neck so you get an extra mm of clearance or so. They are the same size as Seymour Duncan pickups. If you like your pickups fairly close it shouldn't be a problem though.
I don't want them but just to help JJ out a bit here. You can still use the EMG's with rings. If the screw will just pass though the hole you can just put small nuts under the tabs that fit the screw. Problem solved.
The consensus seems to be they're not the best pups for basswood - if I sink the cashola on BKPs I guess I'll go Cold Sweat.
Thanks though dude!
Nailbombs sold pending me getting off my lazy ass and ripping them out of my Ibby and getting ready to ship and getting paid
Nailbombs are sold and shipped Congrats glass.
EMG's are still available.
Buy my pickups you smelly gringo fucks.
