So i've got GAS for an ERG acoustic, and rondo currently has this:

The scale is 25.5 on the bass side. Is that gonna work for an 8 string or am i better off with the 27 non fanned they have?

Never played a nylon and my acoustic experience is limited . I love a gibson scale 6 tho.

Nylon string acoustics with that many strings typically aren't tuned like a solid body, rock/metal oriented 8-string, put put into various baroque tunings that make transposing classical pieces easier.

Common 8 string classical tuning is B/C DEADGbE. Usually strings 8,7 and 6 are pedal strings tuned to a couple of different keys.

I have the 25.5" Ibanez G208. I can confirm the 7th and 8th strings were tuned to D and B respectively.

However, I tune it to drop E, like my electric, with a low B and E. It's not "ideal" but that's fine. I get the Savarez 'extended' strings, just the normal 6-string set plus the '9th' and '13th' strings. It's good enough. A longer scale would be better, but I can't say whether that would be better or worse for the higher strings.
