Pretty excited for some new Nile material. I'm a terrible fan, I haven't actually looked to see if any of the other bands I like have actually put out new material :p

    Dualist's upcoming EP

Features members of the abandoned progressive metalcore band Elitist

END (Will Putney's band) should also have a full length coming out this year which I'm SUPER excited for

    Out already:

    Trivium's new album is great

Machine Head's was total disappointment. I listened to it once. Boring songs. Rob Flynn "rapping" again, and trying to be edgy with anti-Trump political songs. Meh.

I'm looking forward to Deafheaven's new album. I think that will be announced soon. I think Black Crown Initiate are hoping to release something this year too which would be cool. Part of me is still holding out for the HAARP Machine to drop their 2nd album but Christ knows when that will happen.

If you like Refused and/or International Noise Conspiracy, check out Life In Vacuum's new single "Apartment" off their upcoming LP. These dudes have a great live show as well, super tight.

That new trivium album is fantastic. I agree with on you on the machine head album. However, there are some good riffs and a few decent solos sprinkled throughout if you can make it through the drivel lyrics.
