I'm going to be ordering some stuff online tomorrow afternoon, but my Korean isn't quite good enough yet to order from Korean sites without a coworker's help, and tomorrow's the last opportunity I'll have to get help ordering for another eight days, so I'm hoping to get some help from you fellas before noon tomorrow Korea time (10PM Eastern Time).

    So...

I'm looking for some decent headphones in the $100-200 range. I can go a little over if I have to or find a good deal, but I'd prefer to stay in that budget.

I'll be using them with my iPad for JamUp Pro + BIAS.

    No earbuds, please.

A buddy on Facebook just recommended those, too. They're actually around $215 here in Korea, which is at the upper end of what I'm able/willing to pay right now, but if there's consensus that they're worth it, they're a strong contender.

Oof. $277 here in Korea. That's a bit out of my budget. Thanks for the rec, though.

Really? Look around, I'd be surprised if you can't find them cheaper than that. Though, if you're using them to listen to audio and not to mix, they may not be ideal anyway - I LOVE mine, but I don't love how they sound, if that makes any sense. The bass isn't what I'd characterize as punchy, and it's almost like there's a little bit of ambiance on the high end or something, it's awfully tough to describe. I suspect it's getting better as they burn in (and I haven't really done anything in a while involving critical listening on them), but the upshot is I've used other headphones I like the sound of more. Of course, I like mixing on them because they're very accurate and transparent and it's really easy to hone in on the impact of small EQ changes, so they're an awesome tool and I trust them quite a lot.

A friend of mine recently bought the Beyerdynamic DT-990. We are both in love with the sound those cans deliver. They are around 150 euros, no idea what the Korean prices are:

I would be surprised if I could find them much cheaper than that . A little cheaper, perhaps, but not much. The Korean government levies pretty heavy taxes on import electronics, to keep domestic stuff competitive, so most non-Korean stuff is annoyingly pricey and there isn't much I can do about it.

You won't regret it, IMO the best bang for the buck for mixing purposes

Well. I was just informed by the site I ordered from that the M50s are sold out. Back to square one.

Any more recommendations? I'm not sure if I'll try to find another site that has them in stock, or just get something else from the same site (I've had good experiences with this site/store prior to now).
