Started this build last summer, but life (graduation, marriage, moving and f*cking up my hand with a circular saw) got in the way of finishing it....
Made a couple similiar bridges with rosewood and ebony. Worked, but i would prefer metal.
1st: most likely metal
2nd: try emachine shop (very simple, free CAD software)
3rd: no idea, no experience wit 3d printing
