It's pretty nasty, but I've done it for shows a few times; it's not that bad. I'll gladly drive you up. :)

Sweet! Not just that, Cooperstown isn't as big a trek for me; so I could pick you up and we can hang out in my direction as well. :yesway:

I'm setting up a thing with Kyle from Syracuse to meet-up at the ATB show there in February. It'd be cool if we can work out a way for you to come with.

Yeah, I caught that conversation. My musical terminology is limited so it's usually "this thing" and "that thing" oriented anyway.

Every little bit helps, man. I appreciate it. :)

Excuse me... early next month and possibly late this month.

Thanks man. Yeah, it's pretty much an extension of the reasons he took the break... unfortunately the tie off didn't clear things up. And just as we find a keys player, too.

yeah, if you could point him way I' be way thankful. We have a show early this month so we wanted to take a few days to let things cool off but we're scrambling to at least get a fill in.

Not bad. My drummer quit, however. Yippee.

I didn't realize you had an Earvana nut. It would be pretty cheap and easy to try a new nut. This could be good news

It was a sick guitar but not worth crippling yourself.

I still want to do a 'liquid tribute' kinda thing where it'd be a couple sets of something like a specific album start to finish (Traced in Air, for example) and just alternate the sets. That's the more vague option, just because I don't have a lot of people on board for that yet.

The more likely thing in the near future would be a classic rock and/or raunchy blues and/or acoustic cover thing. Joel and a drummer friend of ours who we used to play with have been chomping at the bit to do something and that's what they're looking to do, they're friends of mine and it's in my skill-set... so I'm game for giving it a shot.

Closing in on a lead or two, but nothing concrete. Part of getting the head thing straight is to get it rig ready and if I do, I'm pretty set on getting something off the ground soon.

I have to really push my gain+OD to get it into the range of this thing. I get the sound I want at a medium-low volume but by the time I turn it to around 3... the signal kinda flattens out and I need either more gain or more presence to get back the harmonics. THAT wouldn't be such a big problem but it makes the high-end more pronounced on rhythm playing which is ear raping.

The headroom of the extra gain + the extra wattage on the Jet City should keep it more balanced as the volume goes up.

Yeah, it's a tremendously stupid fucking name.

But it was designed by Soldano and it's pretty much the only thing Soldano related that either has more than one channel or costs less than $2000. :yesway:

It's all in the asscheeks. :D

Also, the Rivera might be going 'bye-bye' in favor of either this (music starts around 3:22):

I see you like saxophone or whatever that is.

Seriously though... that and the last one were both awesome.
