Its a dick move from their side, because the tour was known for being mainly for death metal fans. They are kind of betraying their fans for djent/prog crowd.

I dont want to start shit either, i know its marketing, but to me Summer Slaughter always supposed to be extreme metal tour. Whats next? Asking Alexandria?

Depending on what it is we normally do three bans and the fourth is permanent. The bans also normally get longer as you go so the third one is typically a month. This can also vary at the discretion of the individual mods from case to case and if we catch that somebody has been banned previously etc etc etc.

Both of the amps used in this patch require your POD HD 500 to be as up to date as possible. Is your software up to current version?

I left everything at it's barebones to make it easier for this tone to 'match' your guitar. However, the basic sound is there. Feel free to EQ the piss out of it to get it to where you want it, or turn the gain down on the amp(s) and put a fuzz up front.

Also, I use Re-cabinet 3.1 through my DAW and I use the 'Tangerine (Orange 4x12) sim, but I used the native HD 500 sims to get it as close as possible, and it sounds purdy goods. Let me know what you think!

nah man was just kidding about the spider, but christ...don't know why anyone would pay for, or even want a spider halfstack. They sound fucking awful at any volume level above "off"

sounds good pard...honestly you could actually help me make some patches on the Axe when I get set up over there...I've been working so much (at least 60hrs a week) that when I can finally play every night, I don't want to fiddle with the thing hahaha...terrible. Still playing my $3500 mayones on a line6 spider 2

Yeah exactly, they're just not really my style. But like I said, they sit in the mix just about perfectly. I've been into more vintage style pups lately. JB/59, CL/LF, PAFs and the like. You really do need to come check the fiddles out tho mang. when I was your age (hahaha) I actually had to drive into Seattle just to play a 7-string for the first time. Also, should be moving your way in the next few months.

Ohhh that's right it's that PRS hardtail bridge...looks pretty damn similar from the pics, if anything the string spacing may be a tad different. The only thing with the aftermaths for me was that when I was just sitting down and playing/jamming they didn't have the sound that made me want to just let loose if that makes sense...a tad compressed. But for recording, once I did some post-eq and mastering and all that, it did seem to get a bit closer to the "sound I heard in my head" kind of a thing. I'm more of a plug-and-play kind of a guy though so playing-tone is more important to me than recording-tone.

they were alnico v blackhawks. Not sure what tone you're going for but Pete Graves from RSF was a big influence and he actually helped a lot when I was choosing BKPs. Not sure if you can get ahold of him as easily on here anymore though.

wait a Hipshot? so I take it you're going to route the bridge out and fill? Also I could offer some pickup advice for the POD hd if you're still using one...when I had the HD Pro (rackmount one) and my RGA121 ntf (the maple-cap one) the aftermaths didn't work for me. But then again, the Mushok is all mahogany so it could balance out more. Personally though, the ceramic Nailbombs and blackhawks sounded best in the POD HD to my ear...currently, I'm all about CL/LF though

Did you move recently? Maybe I'm just trippin, but I thought I remembered Port something as your location?
Anyways, I just looked up Challam. It's no wonder you've been sick alot with those cold ass winds that you surely get there. I've spent time in Sea/Tac area getting pummeled by winds off Pugent Sound's icey waters.
You're so lucky, I've always wanted to get to the olympics for a major backpacking trip. Before "the family" I used to go out to Oregon (especially southern OR) and spend days out on the little used national forest service trails just walking and 420ing.
What a blast, and great for conditioning also.

I say go for it! The stock pickups were actually pretty decent but the low end tightened up substantially after I tossed the Black Hawk set into that guitar. Very even-sounding pickup and while I only tune that one to drop-B, the Black Hawk set is very articulate with lower tunings as well! :D I've been tempted to sell my Mushok a few times now and every time I go to list it I play it and change my mind!

Yeah I finally caught the story the other day about Ray Lewis and the deer spray.
I wish I knew how to extract the "venom," cause there are antlers everywhere around here. I know a guy who literally has a collection in the hundreds. Not all mounted of course. You can take a walk in the woods and find them all over the place. We have the right combination of woodlands and cornfields to grow some of the best white-tails anywhere.
