My first thought would be that you're outlining a G Major7 chord (G-B-D-F#). You're leaving out the fifth, but that's arguably the least important note of the chord so it'll still have that quality. What would compliment it all depends on what chord is playing under it and the speed of your harmonic rhythm (how quickly the underlying chords change). If you have a B going on in the bass, then you can really use that to experiment and see what different chords sound like over that drone and what sounds you get moving from one chord to another. If you have a quicker harmonic rhythm, you'll probably want to use a D Major chord, though different types of F# chords could be fun as well. You can also go from B minor. Those are at least what first pop out to me. Make sense?
