These guitars renewed my interest in Washburn when I saw them a few months ago.

Congrats!
Only thing I don't care for is the headstock. I would have rather seen them bring back one of the older headstocks. ![]() ![]() Even this looks better to me. www.myspace.com/heddathebandNew CD "The Storm" out now. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/hedda2 HEDDA T-shirts now available at www.heddatheband.com |

Quote:
i guess its all taste but the third one you posted is the same as mine except its backwards. ![]() the first one is lame i had that on my last washburn. i almost cut that bottom part off. the second one is annoyingly boring like the SX with that headstock. the third one only looks good on that guitar and that guitar only. |

HOLY CRAP
GAS ![]() I want one now.. and as for the headstock, I love it! I'm a big fan of ESP headstocks and this one looks like a more metal version of an ESP headstock if you ask me

![]() There's a definite difference between the 1985 headstock and the current one. The '85 just looks sleeker to me. I've always liked that headstock. Maybe the reason the current one looks odd to me. Only issue with the '85 though is it looks too close to ESP's current pointy headstock. And ESPs more associated with that design nowadays. Even though ESP didn't use the design until '89 or '90? Due to Jackson's cease order. The difference really sticks out to me on this shot of yours. ![]() Love the body though. And the Parker fretboard is sweet. I own a '98 Parker Fly. Is the Washburns a 10" to "13 compound radius board like the Parkers? www.myspace.com/heddathebandNew CD "The Storm" out now. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/hedda2 HEDDA T-shirts now available at www.heddatheband.com Last edited by kherman; 10-27-2009 at 05:05 PM. yeah i see the difference now.
![]() i don't think this has a compound radius and its WAY flat. id just looked at my RG and the HM and i think the radii are the same... ALSO this just in... this guitar has a "Phenolic" fretboard as opposed to carbon glass like i thought. i don't really know the difference.

The stupidly expensive USA version has the carbon-glass Parker fingerboard: HM Series | Electrics
Is that a Schaller floyd? |

no its a washburn branded LFR.
![]() stays in tune just fine though. ![]() also of note. This guitar was perfectly set up out of the box. I haven't touched a thing. it was nearly in tune but after i left it acclimate to my house temp, it within 4 cents. I also haven't found any finish flaws. this guitar is way cool. |

BTW, i just took a look ath the cavities. the trem cavity is slimmer than a regular cavity and because of this you cannot adjust the trem bar height. doesn't matter as it is already the right height. ill prolly get a pop-in bar at some point though...
The pickups have 4 wire connections so i might install a coil tap as well. the cavity is pretty gianormuous.
