Anyway, this was mine - I actually still play it quite a bit...a lot of Rush tunes get played on this axe. ![]() (Agile AL-2500 with GFS Fat PAF pickups)

Here's where Drew and I are similar -
Fender Strats. I had 2. A Mexican and a pretty good Squier. It's why I love Strats to this day. I got in a band with a guy, and we were going pretty heavy, so I experiemented with dowtuning more than I typically did (drop d). I went down to drop C#, then C, then B, then A, then realized I needed a 7. I saw an ad for the RG2027 after that, realized it was JUST what I needed (7-string, piezo trem, humbuckers), got a Squier 7-string in the interim, and bought the RG after doing some net research (found jemsite) from Rich at Ibanezrules, about 2 months later. The rest is, as they say, history. ![]() |

I've had a crapload of Strats that I ended up customizing. I was really into bands like Maiden, and since they played Strats I played Strats. Then one day, I walked into GC and they had a crap load of sales on some Ibanez's. I picked one up and loved it, so I bought it. I'm not sure which model, but if you look in my member page, I have a pic of it. Since then, it's been all about Ibanez, except now that I have a Damien 7, I think that I may be a Schecter convert...

Um. Er. Looks at profile......
This is my Main: ![]() And this is my "backup": ![]() I've owned tons of other guitars(from Strats, to and Epi Les Paul, to a couple different Jacksons and Charvels, to Kramers) and these Ibanez RG7xx guitars are by far the best feeling, playing, and sounding for me. Both of them are close to 20 years old as well. |

My main guitar for about ten years was a 1989 Zion Turbo Stage Series, and number two for most of that was a guitar I assembled with the neck from an '89 bolt-on USA B.C. Rich Warlock (basically a Gunslinger neck) and the body from a Kramer Sustainer. I had about 25 other guitars in that span, only one of which (a 1985 Zion Radicaster that needs to be reassembled) I still own. In 2000, I bought a 1988 Jackson Dinky, and in 2001 I bought a 1987 Dinky. Those were my main guitars until the SL-7 came in. Now it's my two sevens, the two Zions, and the '88 Dinky - I've sold everything else. |

In 1986 I purchased a San Dimas Charvel roundhorn V. I have played Jackson/Charvel since then. In '97 I purchased a cheapo 7 string (Schecter A7) to see if I liked it. I did, so I ordered a custom shop Jacskon 7 string. The Schecter went out the door shortly after that.
For a brief period in the mid '90s, my main guitar was an '85 San Dimas Rhoads. Since then, I've not had a main guitar, as I've had many from which to choose. My method of choosing is usually, "Which guitar has the newest strings on it?" I currently have three Jackson 7 strings that I cycle through as being the one I play. It's been the star for several months, but before that it was the Death Warrior, and before that it was the Rhoads.
...that the play is the tragedy, "Man"

I was gigging with an '88 Jem FP and an '80 Ibanez AR-300 as my main guitars when I got my UVMC in September of '90. It was awesome, but so totally different form anything I'd ever had or played. It was the first solidbody 7 I ever saw with my own eyes and the first one Sam Ash in New York got. I bought it on the spot. It was hypnotizing and sounded unbelievable. And if I ever find the guy who stole it I'll gut him like a fish.

My main 6 string was an early 80's model BC Rich Bich. I also had a BC Rich ST-III, but it didn't get played nearly as much as the Bich did. That Bich was the shit, and I have days where I still miss it. But the more I got into Nevermore and some other bands/players, the more I saw how my BC Richs were missin' a string. Eventually sold 'em both.
