What was your main before your seven?

I exchanged my Jackson JS1 for my H207 so I never really had a "main axe" before or during my owning of the 7. I'd say my V250 is my main axe now simply because it gives me the exact tone I want, I'm gonna try to replace the H207 with something that gives me the tone I want or I dunno, I just don't like the way it sounds in comparison. It's bright the way I have my settings (which I like) but it's just bright, it doesn't sound thick or have much bass like my V250 gives me...oh wow I dunno where this came from, lol. I just want a 7-string with some EMGs in 'em that's not the hellraiser :p *cues ESP V407* :3

I played an older BC Rich NJ Series Virgin, which I had upgraded with DiMarzio Tone Zone and Air Norton pickups.

My Ibanez 540S is still my main guitar, because I like it so much, but I still play my 7-string a lot too. If my 7 was as good I'd probably play them equally much.

Before I went 7 my main guitars were my Ibanez RG550EX (you know, the last RG550 that became the RG2550) and my blue Jackson Roswell Rhodes. The neck profile of my Roswells is still my favourite 6 string profile.

I actually still use my sixes as main guitars in band context.

I play in a straight-up, no-bull Rock'n'Roll band, where I use my washburn PS500 . Tuned in plain ol' standard E

In my metal band I use my Epiphone Special II (go ahead and laugh :S), because of the alder body, which actually gives a decent detuned sound. It needs new pickups BADLY though. And somehow, the neck is quite good. THe intonation is spot-on, no matter how screwy I tune it, and the playability is actually nice.
