Recommend me a sixer?

Okay, so I'm urging really bad to get a 6-string and tune it to drop d down a whole step...I want it to be good quality, but don't want to spend a fortune on it. I'd be looking for it to be 25.5 scale, 24 big frets, good upper fret access, rosewood or ebony fretboard, bridge and neck humbuckers, fast thin comfortable neck, fixed string thru bridge or an old school tremolo - NO floating tremolo's, and smooth neck heel joint. I'm not too picky about the body style/shape except I'd perfer it to not be an arch top - arch tops don't feel right with my arm cause they dont have an arm contour, so basically your flat top double cutaways and possibly even V's or explorer's - whatever can be played sitting as well.

I know this leaves a LOT of possibilities available as I'm not being very specific, but I'm just curious if there's any outstanding nominations I should know about. I've mainly been looking at ESP/LTD's, Ibanez's, Jackson's, and Schecter's. I don't want EMG's, and I want at least 1 vol and 1 tone, with either a 5-way switch or coil-tap, or at least the ability to upgrade to either of those.

Fuck it, you only live once!

Played one the other day. If I didn't have the PGM on the way, I so would have picked it up. However, I think it'll be my next purchase.

Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high,
Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie,
Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally.
Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee
Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread
Its branches like a Temple overhead.

How much do you have to spend? What is "a fortune" considered?

I, personally, would buy a Jackson SLSMG, sell the EMGs on eBay, and replace them with whatever you like. They're excellent guitars, the best of the current Jackson import line, IMO. Well, except for the "arch top", but it's really not, and probably wouldn't bother you.

Of course, these are pretty cool, too.

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

+1.

I also recommend an early 90's S series . I have one and it's the org wizard...plays amazing, ideally it's a RG550, but S body, so it's mahogany.

The only "downside" is that they've only got 22 frets.

although I wouldn't block it if it were me, I'd rather find an RG 770 or a Jem 777DY though. I still think the PGM 90th is the nicest 6-string Ibanez has ever made.
