Actually I think I'll be trying to get a 22fret axe at some point, as there was just something about the sound of the neck pickup.

And those 90's s-series (540ltds etc) are excellent, I used to own one and sometimes kind of regret trading it.

I've got one of those 540SLTD's, and it's awesome.

It really isn't that pink...

So far the guitars that have caught my interest the most are the Ibanez RGT42DXFX, RG321, and the OLP Petrucci model although I haven't heard much about that one...input on those would be great, but all the other's being suggested are great also - keep em coming!

As far as prices go, probably in the neighborhood of $500.

Fuck it, you only live once!

The OLP Petrucci, while not quite EBMM quality, is still a pretty decent guitar. Shannon had one and I was quite impressed.

If you're willing to spend a little dough, the Jackson SL2HT would fit your exact specs, though the DK2T that eaeolian linked to would also fit the bill if you want to spend less. I hadn't really checked out Jackson's new lineup that closely--I may have to check out that DK2T, since it's pretty much exactly what I would want in a cheapo six. Now if only Jackson would make a 7-string version of that instead of the Wolbers model...

I'd settle for "in addition to...".

Division - American metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on MySpace, and Soundclick, too.

I also played an Ibanez RG3EX at guitar center today, that thing was pretty sweet too...

Man, so many choices...
