The SLSMG doesn't have a "true" archtop per say either - it is a very slight arch. I had one, and sold it, but am considering grabbing one again since they are nice guitars, especially when you can find em used all day for $500-600. The older ones come with passive EMG's, so you could easily swap them out for whatever passives you want. Plus, I'm a sucker for ebony....which they have.
