Look at what I just ordered

http://www.music123.com/Ibanez-GA6CE...r-i38826.music

it's an ibanez electric classical guitar. the cutaway is what made me by it. the fact that it's electric is a bonus. this baby's gettin tuned up to drop C and i'm gonna tune my yamaha flamenco to drop B. the ibanez got good reviews. have any of you guys tried one of these or a similar model? if so, what do you think?

Congrats. I've never played an Ibanez acoustic. Have you played that particular model before or are you just taking a leap of faith by ordering it online?

man, I love Ibanez acoustics. Some don't like them, but I think they're perfect. I don't have much input on them other than that.

Wow. That's a great price. I would never buy a classical unless it had a cutaway (some of my friends would say "Well, then it's not a classical" to which I would just give them the finger). I've played some of Ibanez's acoustics. Very nice sound and somewhat easy to play. I think Ibanez just makes good guitars period. Regardless of whether they're electric, acoustic, classical, bass, or whatever. Great purchase. I'm jealous. I'd consider buying myself one if I had the room in my apartment or the money onhand.

Yes, i've noticed many classical guitarists are really uptight, lol.
You're not playing classical if:
You have steel strings.
You have a cutaway
You have Strap pins
You have macined tuners.
You use ball end nylon strings.
Etc
etc.

I'll add a few to the list:
You're not playing classical if:
Your guitar is amplified.
You use a pick.
You have fret markers.
You aren't using a stool.
Your fingernails aren't properly cut to the designated lengths.
etc.
etc.
etc.

Stupid uptight classical guitarists...

Ball end nylons SUCK! As someone who used to restring classicals for people, they always bought those damn ball end ones, do not use them! If you have to, at least tie the top three strings, as these will pull free of the ball end very quickly.

I want that S-Classic Nylon string Ibanez used to make. James Murphy has one, and it looks f'ing sweet. It's a solid body though, I think.
