That axe will be killer, always tuned!

Shannon your's was made of wood? or it was plastic and a quilted maple top?

BTW i love your sold steniberger.

Yeah, the Spirit line (the non-USA models) are made all-maple guitars, whereas the current USA models are various woods for the bodies & a composite neck. The 80s USA models were all composite.

Any of the ones with a regular shaped body had wood bodies and composite necks. It was only the "paddle" shaped ones that were 100% composite. Even the "arrowhead" models had wood bodies with bolt-on necks.

Man, I remember wanting one of the GU-7 models for ages because of Shannon always talking about them on Jemsite, 2 or so years back. I never got round to getting one though, god knows why. Just passed me by in the end I think. I will get one eventually thats for sure.

Rikk Beatty is the man too.

I tried an Epiphone Firebird Studio the other day that has the Steinberger gearless tuners, and i didn't find anything wrong with them at all.

the headless steinbergers were cool, but the GS series with the gearless tuners were even better. too bad they came in at the end of the run and gibson hasn't brought them back, apparently that design worked the best with the transtrem too.
