Steinberger enthusiasts?

When I started playing, I thought Steinbergers were goofy-looking. The store I took lessons at had one in stock. It cost a fortune, but one of the guys at the store had me try it out, and I was blown away.

I wouldn't mind getting the baritone one with the built in capo. If they made that in a seven, you would see quite a few of my guitars for sale.

Shannon, who signed your guitar in that picture?

I really like Steinbergers. I haven't played one, but I've heard many great things about them. I'm thinking of picking one up cheap on ebay and tuning it to B like Shannon did, instead of getting a RG7620 to mod. I'll prolly grab an X2N for it as well. Are there any models I should stray from or any trems that aren't stable?

I had one of the old GL4T Steinbergers back in the day. It was pretty cool, but when I got it the frets were already pretty shot and the TransTrem needed work--which no one locally knew how to do.

They've had some off and on over the years. Check their inventory because it always changes.
