Hate the Gibson Menaces? Get a Gothic-II instead!
ROFL, it seems as if Gibson heard how the menaces were stupid and so they re-released the Gothic series but with EMGs in them \m/ and no pickguard on the LP...I still think they should come with 24 frets but w/e.
LP Studio $1270 ![]() SG $1050 ![]() Quite a bit more expensive than the Menaces are at $800 and $860 but I dunno... I mean, how can you make a guitar look MORE retarded the Menaces?? ![]() ![]() |

If either of those came in a seven string with 27" scale length, I'd consider buying them. It's just my personal taste, but I can't stand playing a guitar with a scale length any less than 25". I'm having a hard time dealing with having only six strings on certain guitars, too.
Aesthetically, they don't look half bad to me, though. |

I've never even heard of the "menace" series. Flat black Les Paul with EMGs, though... that's hot.

Ok, they're a bit pricier than the Menaces, but the LP is a pretty affordable guitar with EMG's for Zakk Wylde wannabe's. I like the clear pickup bobbins on the Menaces, but the actual guitars look like crap.

Never seem the menaces or whatever, but always like the gothic series gibson have done. And exploroer or a V would be cool
Shit man, that's just reminded me how much i'd actually like a beat up old sunburst explorer with EMG's... |

From an artistic standpoint, I think I like those menaces.
Dunno how playable they are though. |

I've owned one gibson LP and played a couple of others and absolutely loved them. I preferred the tone on them to any of my ibanez's. You take a gibson LP with decent pickups through a jcm 800 and DRIVE it, and not have a smile on your face!On subject, I like the looks of the gothic les paul, but those menaces look a bit rubbish, really. |
