New neck

Hey guys, bought a new neck for my 6 string custom Soloist.

Would it be hard for me to install it or should I go safe and take it to the shop?

Thanks

Bolt-on neck? You got that shit, man. It's not hard, just be prepared to shim if needed.

Shimming is adjusting the angle of the neck by placing 1/2" strips of thick paper at the top or bottom of the neck pocket. This lets you tilt the neck forward or backward in order to line it up properly with the bridge.
