Jackson RRV Question!

Recently I have (nearly) aquired a Jackson RR Professional. I'm told they're made in Japan but I can't find much information on the serial number.

Jackson stamped Schaller FR
Active pickups
Neck-through
Plays great, less filling...

Originally had a midi pickup on it

so theres a few holes I'd need to fill. Other than that it's got typical RR bumps and wear!

Take that pick gaurd off and it'll be a pretty nice looking axe.

Then it would have a huge hole with pots and a switch hanging out of it. Also, you may noticed an RR case with a Kelly shape, thats from the top if the "OHSC"

RR bottom w/ Kelly lid...

Yeah, it looks great from a distance. With 5 holes from the midi pickup, the pinstripes he put on there, it could use a good polish too. But it's all cosmetic, and for $300 I can't pass it up!

That looks pretty sweet and that's coming from somebody who thinks RRs are hideous.

Thanks! The pinstripe is just stuck on there, I'm debating taking it off for a more black metal look or keeping it on there because it does look pretty cool.

Those guitars are pretty much the equal of the USA ones from that era - they discontinued that line because it was cutting into USA sales. Nice score.

Which RR would it be? I got the run around on what model my Charvel was for years. Are Jacksons just that hard to identify?
