NCD!!!! [56k = suck mah jag0n]
i've had this guitar for about 2 weeks now but i just haven't really had the time to take any pictures until this morning so here you go
![]() Well if this isn't a dead giveaway... ![]() sorry for the lack of suspense ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i've always loved these clocks... ![]() Deep Sea is the color ![]() i just thought this picture was kind of funny ![]() ![]() After about 2 weeks or so with the guitar i can say that it absolutely destroys. This is my first time owning a Caparison and this was exactly what i wanted in a "shred" style guitar. It has a few minor scratches and belt rash (as seen on the trem cover) but i could care less. The guy i bought it from included the stock pickups as well as these emgs but i think i'll either be giving some SD blackouts or Bareknuckles a try in the near future. The previous owner also had a 3 way toggle installed which is fantastic and i enjoy it a lot more than i would have the push/pull pot. The Schaller tremolo is awesome and it can easily hang with an OFR no questions about it. Great guitar and definitely worth every penny. thanks for reading

the wires don't really bug me too much. if anything i might wrap them up in some electrical tape to make the "blend" in more.
i still have to tweak the pickup height a bit and really get the intonation setup but i'm just too lazy when it comes to floating trems

Wow thats orgasmic. I say you go for some BKPs as actives have a mostly predefined tone and with a guitar of that quality you want it all shining
![]() Also, mind me asking how much it was? lol |

Very nice man. The Deep Sea was a cool color. I love my Horus. Perfect shred guitar IMO. Definately get rid of the EMG's though. I run a Caparison PH-R which is an awesome pickup, but hard to come across and a Dimarzio Fast Track 2 in mine. It sounds 100 times better than stock and has amazing tone. Also a BKP in the bridge and a Dimarzio single coil sized bucker such as a FT2, Chopper, etc. or a Duncan Hot Rails will work great in the neck.

Doesn't look like belt rash on the trem cover, looks like he was too excited to be playing his Caparison

Very nice man.
If you're thinking Pete's, it isn't. His had black hardware and a dyed fretboard. Also, it's not "Deep Blue Sea." It's Deep Sea. Last edited by mrp5150; 12-12-2008 at 07:01 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I love it man! I had (have) so much gas for that guitar. I was gonna get one when my friend got his Snow Cloud, and we were gonna match, but sadly, that never happened.
Rofl at Jagon Don't take anything I say here personally, I'm just here to talk about guitars while I'm not watching Brazzers.

The JB/Hot Rails combo should sound pretty good. Although IMO the JB is too honky in mahogany. I would go Custom 5 or Distortion over a JB. I would look for PH-R though. The PH-R reminds me of a JB with more snarl and no honk.

The JB works best in mahogany IMO. I don't hear the mid "honk" in that pickup that people always talk about. Then again, I also don't hear that same thing in V30's either.

thanks guys!
i'm a big fan of the JB/Hot Rails combo so i might give it a try in this guitar over my winter break when i have time to take it all apart. i really don't mind the EMGs but i still need to try those SD blackouts. |

I love the JB in alder, but not in Mahogany. But different strokes for different folks.

Whichever pickups you go with, definitely give us an update. I plan on getting a horus in about a month- and I'm thinking EMGs or blackouts at the moment... |
