The 'new' Fender/EVH signature model

Link.

Doesn't look very "new" to me, shows little innovation over the EBMM/Peavey days, in my humble opinion.

Expect a ludricrous price tag.

Headstock is awful, and it's just a rip of the old Peavy and EBMM guitars anyway. At least it's not as bad as Fender's Charvel EVH sigs they brought out a few years ago. They were awful, they had the same colour schemes as Eddie's old guitars, but under a super-thick, ultra gloss finish. What looks home made about super polished, identikit paint jobs? None of these guitars are worth the $3000 or whatever it is Fender charges for them.

Surprise, surprise Eddie's sig looks like- well the same guitar Eddie's been playing for what, the last 10 years or so?

I do agree though, that headstock is awful

The whole thing seems so contrived and it's awful looking. Even more so seeing as Fender is behind the operations... :/

I think a Teles shaped headstock would look 100 times better on it.

In my eyes this will always be the EVH sig guitar.

The EBMM guitars that he used just never looked "EVH" to me.

Whatever makes him more money at the time, I guess. The Frankenstrat copies probably weren't selling as well as they had hoped, so here comes Wolfgang III.

"35 years of culmination" resulted only with a new headstock design? Eddie's badass on the guitar, but man what happened to innovation?

JerkyChid is a jewel in the rough
Is it just my youth and lack of love of Eddie or does it seem like he just keeps going "This is my perfect stuff! Nope, this is! (btw costs more) Nope, this is! (and it costs more)" It makes me think of old Guitar World mags where Megadave would do the same thing. "Jackson is awesome, No; ESP, fuck them Dean! I got my wings!" "With Line 6, I have my perfect tone. With my Prophecy I NOW have the perfect tone. With my Marshall I have THE PERFECT tone.."

^ True. It's called "lack of record sales."

And the headstock rules! It's a howling wolf profile. Sorta.

Eh Dave left Jackson cause he was pissed that they sold to Fender. Why he left esp though I have no idea.

I liked his sig Spider or whatever. Because he was like yeah it emulates my overdriven plexi tone. The guy who was interviewing him should've just asked, Then why not use a plexi?

killiansguitar will become famous soon enough
Am i the only one who really never cared for EVH's playing or his guitars? I really dont like anything with his name on it, or anything hes a part of for that matter....except for 5150's and 6505's.

And of course, if its got Eddies name/signature on it or he took part in designing it, you can rest assure you'll be getting financially raped!!
