String gauge changes = problems... Help!

So.. I was abroad for one year and I bought an Ibanez RG7321 there.. but that's another story

So I returned and I was dying to play on my 6 string (Ibanez RG370DX) but the strings on them were ultimate crap... (used and 1 year old pretty much) they were D'addarios light gauge (.009 - .42)

So since I play mostly detuned stuff (the higher I go is drop D tuning) I changed my strings to the Ernie Ball's "not even slinky" (.12 - .56) ones.. I knew that I had to check some stuff before changing string gauges but I wanted to play so bad and I did it anyways... Obviously as soon as I tuned my guitar (I stretched the strings before) It detuned and the bridge rose a considerable amount.. So I tighten the springs to counterbalance this but nothing happens... The neck is not curved, so I guess i dont need to mess with the truss rod...

I can tune the 6th, 5th and 4th strings but when I start to tune the 3rd strings the bridge starts to rise so the other three automatically starts to detune... So what the hell is going on here? Do I need to add an extra spring to the bridge to increase the counterbalance force? Or I just need to punch the bridge until it starts cooperating?

thank you for your help!

Don't punch the bridge! You may need to put another spring in there because your string tension is now higher with the heavier strings.

I want a ziploc rain coat. zepp88

Hmm.. that's what I thought.. but the funny part is that the spring they sent is kinda different... The part that you screw in (not the one with the loop) came with an angle... wtf?

Thats sound weird. I'm really not sure what to tell you. I do not have any guitars with a "floyd style" bridge. Only 6 point and 2 point fender style.

You need to get a spring that has a loop in it. That's a fucking huge gauge change...why so big?

Cuz I always played detune crap.. but I had those gauges which sounded crap (cuz they were obviously loose) so I got these...

My spring HAS a loop in one end, but the other one is angled.. like this:

Nevermind that part.. Butnow I figured out that I cant put more than 3 springs because I cant close the thingy that comes with two screws! (although they send you a extra one, there is 5 holes and 5 hooks...)

But I did it anyways and it looks like this:

My appreciation of the floyd rose bridge:

Is it a problem if they stay like that? They are actually pretty secured and in place... But it looks unbalancedin my look? Is it going to be a problem? (even If I thighten more in one side than the other??) or can I just hook that 3 one to the other side and kinda cross it?

Holy god... =/
wtf.. I'm doomed.. Did I just buy 2 sets of strings that I cant put in my guitar?!! Freaking floyd rose!

Heeelp!

*bump*

anyone?!

Don't you need to get a trussroad adjustment with a major string gauge change as well as an extra spring?
