Unusual design from Epiphone...
Epiphone Musical Instruments
it´s like... not typical of them! :P they´re like Gibson´s bitch, making low-priced gibsons, all with the traditional woods, 22 frets, traditional tiny scale length, the famous gibson designs... and then they make this??? :P it´s kinda cool, and with different specs and a different finish etc, it might actually be hawt! :P

But that's also an old school model from Gibson: the M-III Standard.

Realize also, that Epiphone is still it's own company in a way, they've been making gutiars for about as long as Gibson if not longer and had many original models, most IIRC were archtops, Gibson bought them years ago of course and now they've been reformed to be the "Gibson copy" company.

Yea, I have one like that, natural finish body, maple fretboard.
And.... SET-NECK! Aside from the irony of having a superstrat with Gibson on the headstock, it's actually a great guitar aswell. They were made from 1992-1996, in various configurations (later models used Steinberger hardware, after Gibson took over Steinberger). Mine is from 1992. And here's a 'studio recording' of a song with that guitar: SoundClick artist: Scali - page with MP3 music downloads I'd say it's unmistakably Gibson, with that fat tone and mega sustain ![]() |
