best value for money from any of the major manufacturers IMHO, the 400 series and above really do kill anything in their price range

They have used it for couple of years now. They switched to black nickel (what i heard from a sales man) because marks of using it doesn't show as much as on black (for exs. finetuners on floyds). Otherwise, my first guitar was Viper-100, and my newest addition to my army of ''too-good-instruments-for-the-owner'' is M-1000 DeLuxe. I'd say save more money to M-1000 than pay less and get M-400, IF you are more of a Floyd raper like me. V-500 and EX-400 are pretty cool too!

It's almost like chrome, Ibanez has the same crap they call it cosmo, it sucks because it wears off. It's RoHS compliant or something like that, basically real black finishing is toxic.

Basically ESP are pretty much the best mid-range price bracket metal guitars around. Although their body shapes and finishes are all a bit middle-of-the-road, and custom shop orders take 8 months or more to get made (or so I've heard) so don't even bother with it. Long story short, buy an ESP if u like noisy, well set up, black guitars.

noisy as in pickup buzz?[/quote]
No no, noisy as in as loud as hell farting, with a lot of ESPs having EMGs, there is normally very little, if any, hum or buzz from them. ![]() |
