Ah cool man
![]() Jonathan from feline guitars fixed my rg2027 up when i bought it, as the piezo's were shot (so i talked the guy selling down a fair amount) and he fixed them, so if you need a guy to take it to once you have the parts, he comes recommended! One thing though, is that the piezo board also contains a push button that is used to select outputs (ie, either both piezo + kmags through main out put jack, OR piezo through second output jack only, mags through primary output jack only) Also, you'll want to run both simultaniously, so I'd recommend getting a DPDT switch (easy to get) that has A/B A+B as the output, ie, a 3 way switch ![]() Here are some wiring diagrams that I have: KJG Mod wiring assuming you have the piezo board: ![]() Another wiring diagram: ![]() |

Alas, I don't have the piezo board, that's the graphtech thing I'll be ordering. Apart from that I need to find a volume, Mix/Piezo switch and EQ
...after that, I reckon I'll hit Feline up. Unless I change my mind and sell it ![]() (oh, and thanks for the Wii offer, I'll be going to kick up a fuss at soundcontrol probably wednesday, so you'll have you answer then if that's cool)

Why not e-mail LR Baggs about a replacement as they make the originals?
Also, Feline are highly recommended by me too. |

Hi Ross,
Of our aftermarket products, the CTRL-X is the best, and likely only, option for preamping the piezo and blending with the magnetic pickups. That settles it-anyone recommend a supplier in the UK? (oh, and GazPots, your new axe is awesome, ) |

Cheers dude.
I'll be following this guitars progress very closely. Its one of my favourites ibanez have made. Out of interest would you like me to post pics of the cavity on my 2120? Dunno if it'd help you with all the wiring diagrams above but worth asking anyway? Also those diagrams give me headaches. Im useless at wiring. I musta melted about 2 pots and a new switch trying to rewire my uv months ago. ![]() ![]() ![]() Keep us updated dude. ![]() Gaz http://www.youtube.com/GazPots <--- Guitar vids. www.myspace.com/vinylfuture <--- My Bands tunes. www.soundclick.com/GazTop <--- Random Guitar tunes. |

That'd be very cool of you, but I think I'm going to swallow my pride and have a pro fix this up, I'm reasonably certain I could fuck it up impressively!

I was gonna say "awwwwwww" but i do know how complex the wiring in that cavity can become. Especially if you upgrade the pickups (some come with more wires than the stock pups - eg Dimarzio).
So i would say you have made a good choice abeit a pricier choice. ![]() Gaz |
