NGD! Ibanez RGR08 LTD
So I walked in to get some strings and maybe a new effect and walked out with an Ibanez RGR 08 LTD. The Blackout is amazing! I'll get some pics up when I can. Excellent buy for me! Anyway, here's what it looks like in the meantime.

they do look cool, but im not a fan of the inlays, if i had one, i'd remove em, fill em, and dye the fretboard black to look like ebony
...Each guitarist has an evil fat 40 year old blueswankler trying to get out, If you give in to temptation you'll be sitting next to a fender playing john lee hooker while trying to keep your combover in place. -Desecrated being black and enjoying watermelon, i think this thread needs more watermelon. budda |

Nothing in the works for it. I like the Blackout something bad! It's just stripped down so good and it's so slick I can't really make it any better. Maybe some X's where the neck pup would be but not anytime soon. Black is indeed beautiful!

so its a MTM2 with a blackout, essentially?
If you list your gear in your signature, you're a prick.

Wow, I need to snatch myself one of those! Looks like the perfect back up axe. I haven't seen any guitar I actually want to own for that cheap before. Anyone have an idea just how limited these are?

It has american baswood body. MTM2 has mahogany.
Other differences are: it lacks of fixed edge III bridge, neck isn't painted (although it has very similiar feel to the MTM2) and it contains the killswitch instead of typical pickups selector. Plays great and feels almost identical to my MTM2. Good guitar for reasonable price. |
