Black Guitars, Love Them or Hate Them?

I think it depends on the specific guitar and body shape. I love the look of a blank ebony board and with binding, it's just soo sleak in appearance .

I have 3 black guitars currently and I love them cuz they all have a unique look to them.
Bc Rich CS Ignitor
Jackson CS neckthru COW ( the archtop style body looks sweet in black)
Jackson CS sl2h

But then again I love crazy bright colors too, so thats the rest of the collection

Black guitars are a bitch to keep clean though.

I quite like black guitars, but only satin black. I hate gloss black.. way too hard to keep it looking nice, they look like shit under bright lights after only a couple weeks of playing, and the necks are stickier. Whereas satin black looks cooler even brand new, doesn't wear out quite as fast, and feels better on the hands.

Buuuut I'd still rather have 100% of my guitars in a silverburst finish.

I like black, but mainly i base it on how the guitar plays. Ever since Hal has seen that I own a white guitar, he is loathe to come near me for fear of contamination.

all of my guitars are Satin black and all my future guitars will be satin black, it's my trademark colour/texture for my instruments.

i am thinking more like a black stain or or dark dark burst look for a Sherman custom in the future, with satin neck lol

I don't mind black guitars, but I do take exception to the vast majority of 7 strings being released in black only. Give us some choice dammit!

I love my black guitars, they go well with my predominately black clothing. That said, I wouldn't mind a guitar in snowblind white...

It really does depend on the guitar. If it's a fuckin metal guitar, which you play metal on, and nothing but that if generally really suits. Makes me think of my satin black ESP MHB-400.
