Picked up a Hohner G3T from Denmark Street today!

The trem on this thing (similar to the Steinberger S-style) is to die for; the string height stays totally uniform, like a Kahler, but the tension is more like that on a floyd-rose (bar flutter a-go-go!!!!), and it has the option of fixing it in place, which I'll be using a lot for drop tunings.

The thing balances surprisingly well, and sits at a very comfortable angle if you play using classical posture and the leg rest.

The PUs are EMG selects, with an on/off switch for the two single coils, and a three-way off/coil-tap/on switch for the bridge humbucker. Haven't had a chance to play it through my own amp yet, but it sounded fucking fantastic through the shop amp.

Those are pretty similar to L-series Steinbergers, yeah? (ie the rectangular-bodied ones, I'm hopeless with model names/numbers) The only Hohner I've tried is a B-Bass, which was a pleasant surprise. Enjoy

denmark street in london?? when i went there i was blown away by how many music shops there was on the same street
