![]() ![]() ![]() | Where to get a pearl pickguard for my sl1? pic yeah i need a pearl pickguard for my soloist, my first real guitar. i would like to give some buisness for some people who are from this site, or related. This is my 6 string, ive owned it for 10 years, i want to upgrade to blackouts and a pickguard. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Personally, i wouldn't consider a pickguard to be an "upgrade", but in this situation, it might be the best option for covering up the empty pickup holes. (Why not just leave something in there?) The arrangement of the volume and tone controls and pickup selector won't lend themselves well to most traditional pickguard configurations. You'll probably have to go with something custom-designed. Something along the lines of the Yamaha Pacifica pickguard, or the style offered on the Kramer Elliot Easton model might do the trick. (The EE's pickguard is a lot like the one on Jeff Beck's orange Jackson Soloist, which for some reason, i cannot find a photo of.) This space intentionally left blank. |
