![]() ![]() ![]() | they are way too cool. i would not be allowed to have one. ...Each guitarist has an evil fat 40 year old blueswankler trying to get out, If you give in to temptation you'll be sitting next to a fender playing john lee hooker while trying to keep your combover in place. -Desecrated |

![]() | Funny how they seem to market the trans-trem 3 as a revolutionary new system while Steinberger gtrs have had trans-trems for ages. Not sure if I like the new shape, the old one was perfect already! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That looks really nice, and the new TransTrem looks more user-friendly than the old version was. I had a GL-4T with the TransTrem many years ago, and it was very fussy to use. Does that control on the back of the new guitar control the pitch? If not, I don't see how the transposition function works on the new trem. Also, I wonder if you have to use the specially calibrated strings to get the transpose function to work properly, the way you did on the old one? |

You could use regular double-ball strings on the old TransTrem, too, but they weren't as accurate in transposition. If they fix that on the new one, that's a major plus, since the calibrated strings were even more expensive than the regular double-balled ones. | |
