So I'm curious.... who makes double ball-ended strings? Because it looks to me like they HAVE to have double ball ends to work in that trem/nut.

D'Addario, GHS, La Bella, a few others... you usually have to order them. But, I have a Spirit "broom handle" and the tuning stability is incredible. You literally tune once, stretch, tune again, and don't have to worry about retuning regardless of trem use unless you break a string... and then there is a locking mechanism to keep it hardtail. One of the best systems out there.

Great... I just peed my pants... at work.

Nope... wrong. The new Steinberger headpieces take either single or double ball strings. The only problem is that the range of what strings you can fit into the slot & though the channels in the headpiece is limited.Last edited by Variant; 04-28-2008 at 02:04 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Man, I'd love to have one of those trans-scale guitars and tune that bitch down to F.
You shake your ass but you're already dead.

Holy hell the ZT3 looks nice!
If that's true about the new trans-trem, that's an interesting development, and Durero's right, is might well be of more practical use than the original (which allowed B, C, D, E F# or G tunings). |

WOW WOW WOW WOW!
Also, if you've ever played a Strat shaped Stein, you'd know that it'd be extremely nice to have that leg rest. Props for that addition. |
