OPINIONS? les paul studio / les paul standard

i'm going with studio on this one, predominantly because i own one and i love the fact it feels (and looks) more solid and brutal.

Studio.

I prefer the neck, and i tried a standard through a Triple Rec on clean (oddly enough, the hottest mode in clean with the gain dimed would get me by ) and the burstbuckers did nothing for me.

i know it's personal preference, but i prefer the neck and tone of studios. and a used one is $900. happy me? chyeah! lol

sidenote: a gibson LP custom is a les paul studio with more attention to detail, hopefully more selective wood choies, a binding and a different inlay and headstock inlay.. for an extra $2K

3 cheers for free gear!

Studio. I don't need the fancy binding and inlays, just the black one with chrome hardware. That'll do.

Since my Standard is one of the greatest guitars I've ever tried, I'm going with that :P It doesn't have the burstbuckers though, so I have no idea how those sound.

I voted studio, but this is the best gibson I've ever tried.

Neither. Late 70's or early 80's custom (the ones with the maple necks) for me I'm afraid.

they have very little in common with a Les Paul, but those Gibson Nighthawks were awesome . too bad they were only in production for what, like 2 years? .

the only Les Paul i care about is the the Custom, it must be black too! something about the sound with the ebony fretboard .
