maybe its just the way your springs were set inside the trem. Mine is perfect. And i mean perfect. There are lots of good kahler vids online, even some good kahler vs. floyd ones which demonstrate that returning to point is one of kahlers strong points.

I like it ALOT more. It's actually the only thing that makes me miss my JP7.

**EDIT** Okay, the neck, trem, and locking tuners too.

Every trem has its strengths and weaknesses. With Kahlers, they're just super-smooth and fluid in their operation. In my experience, they can be extremely stable, but a properly set-up Floyd will be more stable. I always had to solder my ball-ends, or i'd snap strings in a matter of days. It was a simple fact of life i had to get used to.

A properly set-up Floyd is rock-solid for tuning. I mainly don't like the stiff feel of the Floyd, and can't stand having to pull out tools to change strings.

I really like the "old man's trem" on my JP7. It takes all the abuse i throw at it (which isn't much... i AM an old man, after all) and has a slightly less stiff feel. And i can change strings on it in no time at all, with no tools (though i do prefer to snip off the extra string at the tuners). And it has piezo saddles.

They're all different, and everyone has their preferences based on their own needs. One is not unequivocally "better" than the other in all regards.
