Warning: useless (minor) rant...

I think I'm going to pick up an RGA121 and throw some Duncan's in it, because I want a simple 24 fret fixed bridge 6.

RANT: Why the hell did they put a giant maple cap on a mahogany guitar? I keep wanting to look at the BACK of the thing rather than the front!

Anyone here have a 121? Opinions?

My only real concern is the frets... I'm addicted to Carvin stainless jumbos.

I believe they offer an all-mahogany one as well. Also, Ibby frets (aside from the UV;s, strangely) are pretty big.

They offer an all mahogany version. Looks like shit compared to that lovely faded denim blue they have, but if you want that then go for it.

Here is what the back looks like.

**EDIT**Oh nevermind, you know what it looks like, you were just wanting an opinion. My opinion, I absolutely love it. It is easily the best 6 I have ever owned. The different tones you can get even with the V7-V8's are phenominal. I think Duncan's are a good idea, or Evo's would sound great in one too. And I personally love the way the cap looks on it.

So you like the stock pups then, eh? Well, I'll certainly give them a listen then.

Yeah, definitely give them a shot. I honestly did not even think about putting new pups in it for...4 months at least. I know a few guys personally that still stand by the V7-V8 pups. Only complaint I would have ever about them is that they occasionally are not crisp enough. But the tone ranges are awesome on them. (And btw, I still have the stock pups in mine... )
