XPT700 strap pin location

So I picked up a Xiphos off of auction for $370 with two EMG 81 in it.
I had heard about the neck drop but didn't think it was gonna be this bad.

Ive seen two locations other people have moved their pins. One location is just above the input jack and the other is just below it.
It seems that locating the pin above the jack will not do enough to compensate but most people are putting it there. Below the jack appears to have more benefit. Anyone see any negatives for putting the strap pin below the jack?

I already know where they can be re-located.
Was asking if one location is better than the other.
Anyways, thanks
