the 1000's i think were worth the extra scrill, the fretwork on them and the setups are amazing factory. Plus they come with decent pups (emg 81/85 or SD jb/59). Not sure what the 500s come with, although i think its the same.
The eclipse II's are a bit higher quality, but not by much. All quartersawn necks, etc, nicer cuts of wood, but in terms of the tolerances in construction etc theyre about the same. The neck carve is a bit different though, a little bit thinner. i like a little more meat on the necks, and prefer the ec1000 neck. that said, both feel totally awesome
