Schecter Pt series: Anyone have experience with these? If so, opinions needed.

specifically this one- Schecter Guitar Research, although if you have experience with any of the pt models I would like your input.

So here's what's up. I've been gassin' for a schecter for a long time. Everyone on here raves about them being the best quality for the buck. I dig this model because I like the whole concept of a vintage look witht the potential hard rock yet versitile sound.

I am concerned about the overall quality here. The maple neck is sweet. How are the pickups? How is the overall quality? How is the feel? anything else you guys want to put in would help greatly.

thanks in advance everyone.

Bad link. The Pt series is the Tele-like one right? I used to have GAS for one.

I don't really have much to offer on this, but if you like this, you might like the Fender Jim Root tele.

i haev a little experience with schecter gutiars in general, but not the PT line.

what's the specs for that one? the stock pickups should be fine, and the neck should be comfy. with 2 buckers, dont expect regular single-coil-tele tone.

mahogany body?

3 cheers for free gear!

Slight OT:

PT = Pete Townshend, hence the lack of whammy...

Played one.

They pwn, hard. If you can get past the fact that it isn't a 'real' tele then I'd say it's worth it. That said, a Jim Root Tele may do what you want with EMG's thrown in.
