That's quite the opposite of what I've experienced with the M7... absolute clarity dude!

I use 6'ers more than 7's but it's just because I tend to play a lot of riffing in Drop D and Drop C tuning and that's more convenient for me since I'm sloppy.

I use mine for the odd playing with other people where I really don't need to use a 7, however, I have recently rediscovered the joy of shredding like a mofo on crack on 9's tuned in E, it's fun, and that way the LACS gets more of a run out, as it's just a blast to play that way!

Otherwise, I'll be using them for leads, and parts where i don't need to play a 7 and for different flavours et all.

But I don't touch them nearly as much as I should really, which is a crying shame

to be honest I actually find drop tunings to be more sloppy sounding than standard or dropped standard tunings

I recorded almost all of my album on my 6-string Jackson Soloist Pro, with the exception of the clean parts on one song that were recorded with my Interceptor Pro. At the time, I hadn't yet installed a Blackout in my Stealth-7, so the Soloist Pro was giving me the sounds I wanted. Plus, that guitar just has so much mojo.

My next project is going to be entirely 7-string, though.

Overall, I don't use drop tunings and now prefer to use a 7-string for any tuning in D Standard or higher. Anything below D Standard gets ridiculous on the low string on a seven--though I guess the ERG guys would disagree with me.

I've kept the six-string guitars that I love, and I don't plan on getting rid of them. So I guess I'll inevitably find roles for them here and there.

I don't even have a 6 string anymore. If I did, I'd use it as a doorstop.

7StringofAblicK-This is my footswitch. it changes channels on my amp - just like on a television, but I only have four channels.

To expand on what I said earlier, I play alot of Surf and Psychobilly and a 7 just doesn't work for that

Come on man, be a little more daring, I've played some rockabilly with a 7-string, it works really great if you can find a upright bass player with a 5 string

Ironically enough, I use a six string for the AV stuff and a 7 string for the stuff with black market hero. However, when i get my custom axe im going to get a 7. =)
