To buy or not to buy that is the question [agile content]

so, i want to get a new guitar for playing out with this other band because my other guitar is my uncle's and i don't feel like messing it up on the road.

i've read A LOT of good things about Agile guitars but i feel some-what hesitant because they're so cheap and there's that old saying "you get what you pay for"
maybe that doesn't apply to Agile's though?

anyway, i'm thinking about getting this les paul
Agile AL-3100 Silverburst at HomeOld

thoughts? i wouldn't mind getting this because i've always wanted a silverburst guitar and i like LP shapes plus i don't feel like dropping $3000 for a gibson because their quality has DEFINITELY gone downhill.

i'm just looking for some opinions on these guitars is all. and how long do they take to arrive? are they in stock or will it take me a few months to get one?

thanks!!

Well, Agile made the ss.org combined best 7string ever, and no one has complained about it ever. So they're pretty damn good.

yeah i remember that, that's why i'm so tempted.

the pickups will definitely be getting swapped with EMGs as that's what i prefer but overall the rest of it looks pretty decent.

You don't need an expensive guitar to get good tone. There are plenty of great sounding cheap guitars out there.

One of those has been very tempting. Megadeth is right, cheap guitars can sound great too.

both my Agile Interceptor and Septor 27" sound better than the CS Jackson Demon 7 and B.C. Rich Warlock 7 USA i've owned. of course, tone is subjective though. unless you're having a custom instrument built to your exact specs, the whole "you get what you pay for" thing is nonsense when you're talking about production line guitars, you are just paying for a name on a headstock in most cases.

turmoil, go for it, Rondo has a really good return policy too if you're not happy with the guitar. i own 3 Agiles at the moment and have no complaints. i did have to return a dud from them before, but had no problems doing so.
