Got my Ibanez back! (Tremol-no + lefty content) 56K = this is 2008!

Got my 1570L back today after sending it off to Feline Guitars for some minor work. ZOMG it plays about 1000 times better with a quality set up and of course, the Tremol-no is EPIC! I didn't have the Deep C installed as I'm only really interested in full-floating or hard tail, but I may change my mind at a later date, you really notice the difference with it locked down, what a fabulous bit of kit.

Because I got the pin type, TN as that's AllPartsUK seemed to have apparently there were some issues fitting it, so Jonathan modified something or other to make sure it fit properly. You can kinda see in the 2nd Tremol-no pic. Since it works fine, I can assume it's a successful mod!

I've never had my action so low, still getting used to bends haha, but legato is suddenly massively easier and going higher up the neck it doesn't become progressively harder to play (before, despite my best efforts, my action was shit). Hardly notice the uppage in string gauge either, probably due to the great set up.

Work done:
Dimarzios installed - Tone Zone, Red Velvet, PAF Pro
Dimarzio clip-lock installed (gotta chop up the strap though, WAY too long)
Edge Pro locking stud kit installed (biggggg improvement)
Tremol-no installed and new back plate for TN access
Strings upped from 9's to 10's and set up accordingly

The only sucky thing is the bridge is starting to look a bit shitty and discoloured, but I think that's a common problem with the Ibanez cosmo black hardware. Oh well, maybe I'll get an OFR replacement! :P

And of course, pictures!

I just stripped my bed and took the pics before I put new sheets on, so it's all a bit white. Net curtains kinda spoiled the light a bit but whatever.

Looks like a nice guitar dude. Jonathan does some awesome work, and his setups are ace. He fixed the trem stud on my UV and set it up for me.

Yeah I pickup this up yesterday and dropped off my next guitar for similar work, which will include... Blackout 7's replacing my EMG 707's!

youre right about the BK hardware. late 90's cosmo black hardware lasts fucking forever cause they perfected the finish by then. earlier shit wears out because they were still figuring out how to get the new color to stick well, and the newer shit had to be changed because of ROHS and other environmental chemical processing laws, and the new processing/formula doesnt stay as well. hey, its way better than powdered cosmo (the flat metal gray color), that wears off faster than hell
