![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well you should specify your price range first of all. Secondly if you want a strat i would recommend a Fender American Standard. The new ones are really badass and are around $900. There are cheaper models though i guess whatever you wanna spend. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, if you're going to go with a MIM Strat, just buying it is pretty much going to bust your budget, but if you went with say, the 802, that would give you some breathing room to do some upgrades like new pickups and maybe locking tuners (if you use the trem a lot) if you wanted to. I don't really know much about the SX's build quality, but everybody here that's bought an Agile seems very happy with it. Plus, the Agile has 22 frets while the SX and MIM Strat only have 21. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The Agile ST-802 kicks ass, period. I have one and so does Edroz on here. Basically with a pickup swap you've got a guitar that's on par with an American Standard Strat. Also, unless he changed it on this run they have Grover auto-locking tuners on them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | out of those 3. the Agile ST-802 hands down . i mean if you wanna drop over a grand on a USA Fender (YJM model excluded, because it is just badass and in a different leage), go right ahead. i've AB'd my Agile ST-802 with a buddy's $1,400 Fender '62 reissue. and the only difference is the name on the headstock. i'll put it up against any mexi or US standard strat. it has better hardware (grover locking tuners, wilkinson trem, graphite nut, better fretwork) and is cheaper. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i´ve traded my Whammy for a Vintage stratocaster (Vintage being brand name). it´s got wilkinson trem, pickups and tuners, plays and sounds fucking amazing! can´t wait to actually pick it up, i´ve only played it at his house... it´s the kind of guitar that just sounds amazing no matter what the hell you play, and with chorus, delay and a little reverb, you´re in heaven all day :P -------------------------------------- Æn Æppl Æ Dæi, Kiips De Dåktor Awæi |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i've got a srv strat and an american custom. both are sick, i used to like the srv more but the more i play the custom the more it stands out as a beast of its own. if you want a strat get a strat, a fender one, the mim can be really nice. you just need to play each one in the shop as the qq is not the greatest. I have a mim tele that plays and sounds better than every american tele i've ever played, i swapped out the stock pups for texas specials and everyone i meet wants to buy it, best part? i pay 250 for it in a pawn shop |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | How about a Fende Showmaster. I just bought one for a little over 500 dollars. They are really nice and sound great. As an added bonus it comes with SD pickups that will NOT need to be changed out. ![]() ![]() | The Showmaster is a completely different kind of animal though, after all it has humbuckers, set-neck and different woods. It's a great guitar but it won't produce the signature strat sounds. The Japanese Fenders are also well worth checking out. They are really nice and many of them don't cost too much either. I have a J-Craft Telecaster and I have no complaints whatsoever. Stratocaster "These songs are long and there are fast parts, so that automatically means that they're good!" |
