Here's a bit of a development on the $15 dollar guitar.

I went down to the guitar shop to talk to my friend there about pickups, he tells me he has a seymour duncan jb he's not using and he'll sell it to me for $30. So, I grabbed it up from him and put it in the bridge position and took the stock bridge and put it in the neck (since the neck pup had no freaking wire at all), so it has two functioning pickups now.

Two days ago I went back to the store, thinking about some other things I could put on it. You may or may not have noticed, the stop tail is chrome, the bridge is black, the knobs are chrome, and the tuners are black. So, it's pretty mixed up. The original hardware is black, but I like the chrome better. So, I decided to get some chrome strap-locks because they didn't have any chrome tuners or tune-o-matic bridges out. I mention tuners and, BAM!, he pulls out chrome Schaller Locking tuners. He gave me a good deal on them and now the guit-fiddle is looking pretty damn nice.

Next up, I'm going to get a chrome tom bridge, chrome switch tip, and an SD Jazz for the neck. I'm also gonna clean it up a bit and try to reduce the blemishes a bit.

I'll put up pictures of it's current condition when my wife gets home (she has the good camera, I have a shitty one here).

You wouldn't believe how many $20 offers I've received from the people at the guitar store.

The upgrades I've put in so far kind of make $20 not worth it.
