I miss my Gibson...

I don't know why, but about 2 seconds ago I felt like playing my old Explorer (too bad since I sold it 2 years ago). I felt the strong urge to buy one again, but I have a quick question. Is there anyone out there that makes a 25.5" (Fender scale) Explorer? I loved my Gothic Explorer I had, and honestly it was the best sounding guitar I've ever owned, but I'd prefer the longer scale. Anyone know where I can grab one or do I have to spend $5000 at the Gibson custom shop and they may or may not even do it? I don't care who's name is on the headstock really, just looking for a well made instrument of "Made in the USA/Japan" quality. Thanks for the help!

Just have some lowcost custom shop build you a new neck.

But if that Explorer ever comes out I may have to change my mind where the money goes...or do a 7 string Explorer

Yah, they are set neck so no custom necks on this one I guess. Does the ESP Custom Shop still do those Explorers anymore or has that been done away with? I don't want to spend more than $2000 on it maybe at most, so if I have to hell I'll do the 24.75" scale again.

My brother had a Gibson Explorer back in 1991, it was creamy white and classy. It ended up in Bill's hands for a while and then he sold it.

Warmoth makes a 25.5 Explorer neck, but you have to settle for bolt-on.

On the other hand, you can order a whole guitar from them for under $2000, if I've added in my head right!
