Ibanez RG570 needs new pups!!

So I picked up an Ibanez RG570 a few weeks ago and the electronics needs come work. Theres some static when switching to the neck position so I figure I'll just get new pickups, but of course need your suggestions. I prefer dimarzios and play mostly metal, but like a nice clean tone as well. Its an h-s-h setup incase you didnt know.

I actually am not sure if its actually a 570, I check Ibanez Registry and didnt come up with much. Does anyone know how to tell by serial #?F106916? I was just wondering cuz I picked it up for less than $100 and Ive seen them on ebay for around the same condition around like $300?

not a bad deal. Dont think its a 570, but i could be wrong, and it doesnt matter. nice guitar

Im awfully partial to the fred in the neck, and i like the evo 2 in the bridge.
For the middle get an HS2 or something i guess. should work well

thanks! I'm not sure either.. when I first got it I looked at an old catalog online, not sure where or what it was. It said there were maple top 570s made in I believe in '92. On the back of the headstock theres an rg570 sticker and it say MIJ.

I have quite a few RG570's and most of them are loaded with EMGs.

I also really like Tone Zone/FS-1/Air Norton.

You could try Norton/FS-1/Humbucker from Hell.

Also, Evo2/FS-1/Evo is good as well.

Chopper is a good rail middle pickup, if you're thinking about something like that.

FS-1 is really the only single coil I like in these guitars. I have two others that have an HS-2 and an HS-3 and I just don't really like those as singles in a H-S-H guitar.

thanks for the suggestions! I think I may have figured out the serial # on ibanezrules. Correct me if Im wrong but I think F1 means fugigen in '91 and 06196 is the number in which it was produced?

Yes, the F is for Fujigen, and it looks like you have yourself there a '91, which were great years for 570's.

Well I picked it up with a Peavey Express 112 and Boss Metal Zone for $150, and just sold the amp and pedal for $90. So I basically got it for $60. The only thing wrong with is that there are cracks in the lacquer next to the neck. Its solid though. I thought about selling but I just like it too much!
